Compassion in Action: Blanket & Sleeping Bag Drive for Homeless

Last Saturday morning found our team in Oakland, CA, offering food assistance to the homeless community. The recent storms in the Bay Area have significantly increased the need for blankets and sleeping bags among the homeless population. To address this urgent requirement, we have procured 20 sleeping bags, priced at $35 each, for distribution this coming Saturday, February 10th.

We invite you to join our volunteer effort on February 10th from 10 AM to 12 PM in Oakland, where we will distribute these essential items. Furthermore, we are seeking additional contributions to purchase more sleeping bags and blankets to support the homeless, especially considering the pressing needs of children in these challenging times. Although children may not be present at these distributions, our initiative, in collaboration with a local partner organization, aims to extend our food assistance program to include these critical supplies.
