We receive information about needy students from various sources including friends, teachers, society, social media, and print/electronic media. Typically, these students are undergraduates from economically challenged backgrounds.
Upon receiving a request or application, we ask for detailed information such as educational certificates and social background. This information is compiled and sent to our group email for initial assessment.
We then scrutinize the submitted documents and initiate an inquiry to confirm the students' character and economic status in their neighborhood or village. This involves direct engagement with their community to ensure authenticity and need. During this stage, we also evaluate the student's aspirations, life goals, and dedication to our program.
Our selection criteria are stringent and focused. The student must excel academically, originate from a rural background, and be in a situation where continuing education is hindered by their family's economic or social conditions.
An integral part of our process is assessing the student's willingness to contribute back to the program after achieving success. This commitment is crucial as it fosters a cycle of empowerment, allowing former beneficiaries to support new students facing similar challenges.
Before finalizing our decision, we consider the inputs and opinions of the members of our trust. This collective approach ensures a balanced and equitable selection process.
For the selected students, we provide financial assistance covering tuition fees, mess fees, and maintenance charges, based on their individual needs.
